A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide essential therapy services in a K-12 school setting in Columbus, GA. This full-time contract position runs from ASAP through May 21, 2026, and offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on students across multiple schools within the district.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to K-12 students, addressing a range of communication disorder needs.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 35-40 students, adapting to district requirements.
- Potentially supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) or SLP Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) candidates.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state guidelines.
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Educator certification.
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred.
- Ability to manage workload across multiple schools.
- Support for VOCO (virtual clinical observation) candidates is available.
